Where is Schlitterbahn Waterpark New Braunfels?
The Schlitterbahn water park is really worth the entrance fee (around 50 dollars). We chose a slightly cloudy day for the visit, because we were not so well pre-tanned yet.
If you expect an outdoor pool with slides is wrapped wrong, it is really a Park with many attractions and a shuttle bus, in which you simply get in with bathing suits and brought to the other park parts.
We had a lot of fun with or without tires (Tubes that you can always get) sometimes fast, sometimes slow to slide along the various attractions.
You will find there from the normal tunnel slide to the tire slide, which ends after several swirls and small slopes in the Comal River really a lot of entertainment. Some slides, such as the Revenge of the Dragon or Wolfpack are also roller coaster-like, only that you sit in a 2-seater boat and hold on to handles.
There are many attractions where you have to queue almost like in the Heidepark. But there are also elements where you can just so pure, eg the wave pool.
Picnicking is explicitly allowed, people simply left their picnic boxes unattended. Because the 8 Dollar lockers are definitely too small. We just squeezed our backpack into it.
But there are also numerous ways to eat (Pulled Pork, burgers). For about 7 dollars you can buy a free refill bottle.
Overall, we had to wait shorter times longer, but it was fun and we spent the whole day in the Park.
Moving is possible there, but places are very limited, so just undergo.
Do not forget sunscreen! Or even put on a T-Shirt, there was no real dress code. Everything that can get wet 😉
