What Country is Satu Mare in?

At an altitude of 126 metres from the Black sea level, the city lies on a terrace formed by the floodplain of the lower Someş river. As a border town, it has openings through communication routes on the road with Hungary at customs Petea and by train with Ukraine at customs Halmeu. The main internal connections are the route from Oradea to Baia Mare and Sighet (through Ţara Oaşului) and the one from Zalău. Another one – and a door not only domestically, but also internationally, by plane, Bucharest-Satu Mare and the airlines temporarily operating from the North of Europe. It is one of the most important gates of Romania, with borders with Hungary and Ukraine.
