Where is Saguaro National Park?
When you think of the desert in the Wild West, you almost always have a very specific picture in mind: endless expanses, Sand in various colors – and of course columned cacti stretching their numerous arms towards the sky. But just these impressive cacti can be found on the west coast of the USA only very rarely.
In fact, you even have to drive to southern Arizona, where you almost discover the Saguaro National Park on the border with Mexico, which rewards the miserable long journey with downright Cactus fields…
The Saguaro National Park is located in the immediate vicinity of the large city of Tucson in southeastern Arizona. From the usual destinations in the Southwest, the nature reserve is thus quite far away, even to Phoenix, the capital of the state, it is almost 200 kilometers.
In order to plan a visit to the National park sensibly in a round trip, it requires a little consideration, but the necessary effort gives a great view of the particularly in the early morning and evening hours truly great cactus desert.
