Rotherham is a town in South Yorkshire, England, located on the River Don, near its confluence with the River Rother, between Sheffield and Doncaster. The urban population is 248,175. The area was inhabited by the Dobunni tribe, and, although there were several settlements in the territory occupied today by the city, it was founded by the Saxons.
