The Zoo with more than 900 animals from 156 species is embedded in 170 hectares of Parkland.
From polar bears to penguins, a theme area “Steppe of Africa” with elephants, giraffes, cheetahs and Zebras, a theme area “tropical rainforest” with covered paths as well as thematic parts of other continents.
The Park also houses the Museum of Natural History, a Planetarium, Betsey Williams Cottage and the Charles H. Smith greenhouses. For children there is a carousel (Carousel Village with antique carousels), Pony’s, children’s boats and Mini-Golf. In the Boathouse you can rent paddle boats.
