The drive on the Road to Hana, also called Hana Highway, is one of the top 3 attractions on a Maui vacation. The route leads from the main town of Kahului along the north coast for 103 kilometers to the small village of Hana. Officially called Hawaii State Route 36 & 360, the two-lane highway passes 54 bridges, nearly 600 hairpin bends and passes numerous natural highlights, which has rightly earned the Road to Hana the title of one of the most beautiful panoramic roads in the world.

Before you get in the car and drive off, you should make an approximate Plan of where you want to stop and where the sights are located. Detailed maps with all Highlights are available everywhere in Maui. Our three recommendations on the track:

Twin Falls: at Kilometer # 2, these two beautiful waterfalls with natural pool are located on a private property. A small Tramp path leads to the first waterfall in about 5 minutes, a little more privacy can be enjoyed at the second larger, slightly higher located cascade, which you can reach after 15 minutes walk.
