Where is Riffa Located?
The town of Ar Rifa or Al-Riffa, South of the main island of Bahrain is actually made up of two Parts East Riffa and West Riffa. Both are the largest cities in Bahrain and together have around 120,000 inhabitants.
The eastern part has an interesting shopping Mall with the Bazaar. With the Views, another large commercial center is being built here.
What Country is Riffa in?
In East Riffa is also the Fort, also known as Sheikh Salman Bin Ahmad Al Fateh Fort. It was built 182. From up there you have a wonderful view of Hunanaiya Valley. The Fort had strategic importance as long as the seat of government was here. In 1869 he was transferred to the capital Manama.
West Riffa, on the other hand, is primarily a residential town. Most ministers and members of the royal family reside here.
