Where is Podgorica Located?

Podgorica is the largest city of Montenegro and the current capital of the country, as well as the seat of the parliament. The most important administrative, economic and cultural institutions of the Balkan state are located here.

Podgorica is located in the wide plain at the mouth of the Zeta into the Morača, about 15 km from Lake Skadar. The climate here is Mediterranean, with hot dry summers and mild winters.

In this cultural center of Montenegro you will find the National Theater, a city theater, as well as some puppet and children’s theaters. Podgorcia today is a mix of a small, still-preserved old town, some socialist structures (such as the Hotel Crna Gora) and modern architectures.
