The Place de la Concorde is located between the Jardin des Tuileries, the gardens of the Louvre, and the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, the famous shopping and Grand Boulevard. With an area of 68,470 m2, it is the largest square in Paris and the second largest in France.

In 1793, the famous Guillotine was installed here, on which King Louis XVI and Queen Marie Antoinette were publicly executed, as well as another 1117 people.
