Where is Padang Located?

Padang is located on the island of Sumatra, and belongs to Indonesia. The city is the provincial capital of West Sumatra with about 900 000 inhabitants. Padang is large and has its borders directly on the Indian Ocean and at the foot of the foothills of the Bukit Barisan mountains. The main export products are wood, coal, and cement.
