Where is Osijek Located?

The fourth largest city in the country is often forgotten, as the beautiful Osijek is located in the very east of the interior of Croatia. Due to its location in the border area, the city grew into one of the main metropolises for trade and economy. Although this position is no longer so essential for Croatia, the city with its large infrastructure remains both the centre of Slavonia and a sought-after city for culture and education.

The rich past runs through the entire city and thus makes it not only culturally and historically very interesting, but also very worth seeing. Osijek is roughly divided into three parts: the so-called fortress, which forms the old town centre with its winding streets, the upper town in the west, where you can find the most sought-after sights and the large shopping street, as well as the lower town in the east with the large sports facilities.
