If we spend the holiday near the sea I like to go to a Boardwalk. This year a lot of our decision on Ocean City, MD. There are the typical boardwalk shops and Restaurants on one side and a beautiful beach on the other. If you have overestimated yourself on the way, you can buy a Ticket for a small train to take you back to the car or Hotel.
If you walk the Boardwalk to the end (2nd Street/ 2nd Street) there is a small shopping corner on the right a bit away from the hustle and bustle with small nice shops and a small Bar.
As I said, We went back by train for $3 per Person.
