City Park has been one of New Orleans ‘ biggest attractions since 1854 and is one of the oldest Parks in the country. Giant oak trees and 1,300 hectares of green space attract millions of visitors every year. Numerous theme gardens, wide bicycle and walking paths as well as the endless number of vendors, museums and activities within the park invite you to enjoy and linger.Families with children can visit the “Storyland” themed playground, which features giant sculptures from fairy-tale films, or take a spin in one of the Carousel Gardens Amusement Park’s 15 rides. Golf Fans will also get their money’s worth here. In addition to its spacious 18-hole golf course, City Park offers a mini-golf course called City Putt, which offers two themed courses – New Orleans & Louisiana. if that’s not enough, the park has its Disc Golf Course, which takes players through scenic routes of Oaks, Lagoons and bridges. Opened in the 1930s, the New Orleans Botanical Garden is open all year round and features a beautiful floral landscape and a sculpture garden with works by Enrique Alferez.
