Muncie is mainly located at Ball State University, one of the most famous universities in the United States. The first foundation of the city was in 1770 by Deleware Indians, who were expelled here from the coast of the state of Delaware. After 1818, the Indians were expelled again and the “white” town of Muncie was founded in 1865.
The city of Richmond was inhabited from 1806 by Quakers from North Carolina. To this day, the city has some facilities of the Quakers. The city has always been a cultural centre, but at times there was an opera with a professional Ensemble. There are many historic buildings in the city.
