In the extreme southwest corner of Massachusetts, there is a cluster of Parks known for their spectacular scenery and breathtaking views. They surround” the Dome ” of Mount Everett in this 1,356 hectare reserve. Seasonal access roads and parking are available in the Guilder Pond area.

From there, a 1.25 Kilometer path leads to the summit of Mount Everett. At the height of 2,624 feet. Summit, in the midst of an unusual dwarf pine forest, is a breathtaking 360-degree Panorama of Massachusetts, New York and Connecticut.

At Guilder Pond there are informal picnics where spectacular flowering Laurel and Azalea can be seen in spring. Hike along the Appalachian Trail, which winds along the ridge line and through Sage Gorge or from the MA Rte.
