What County is Modesto?
Modesto is located in the central part of the Central Valley. Around the city on fertile Land, inconsequential wines as well as nuts and almonds are grown. Founded in 1870, the city is notorious for its air quality, it is supposed to be even worse than in Los Angeles; it also has, in relation to the inhabitants, the most stunned cars in the USA.
At the edge of the mountain you will find beautiful old gold mining settlements. Among other things, Jamestown and Columbia are worth seeing. The Wild West still seems to live in these cities. The city of Oakdale calls itself the Cowboy capital. Sonora was founded by Spanish gold miners.
