Where is Medina Located?

Medina is the short form of the Arabic (Saudi Arabia) “Madinat an-Nabi” (city of the prophet). After Mecca, it is considered the holiest site of Islam, as it contains the Prophet’s mosque and the Jannat-ul-Baqi Cemetery.

The original name of the city is Yathrib. The city is located in north-western Saudi Arabia.
