Where is Mbuji-Mayi Located?
Mbuji-Mayi is the third largest city in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and is located in the southern part of the country. The population is more than 2 million, but the number increases annually. Many are refugees from the state of Katanga and other regions. Living conditions are difficult; several families eat only five days a week and do not have a permanent job, but survive thanks to the retail trade.
