The port town of Lorient is located in the middle of a lush green hilly landscape at the mouth of the Blavet and Scorff rivers in the Morbihan Department.

In 1666, Colbert founded the indien company in the town of Port-Louis. From now on, the city continued to develop thanks to trade, fishing and military shipbuilding.
