Where is Little River Falls?
The Little River Canyon National Preserve is managed by the National Park Service. The special thing about the river of the same name is that it flows exclusively on Lookout Mountain. A 17.7 km section of Lookout Mountain Parkway (an official Scenic Byway) also winds through the Park.
From the hiking trails and viewpoints, there are beautiful views of three waterfalls and the deep Canyon that the river has dug into the rock over the millennia. During your explorations you will meet significantly fewer other visitors than in many other national parks.
If you didn’t have room in your suitcase for your own gear, you can sign up for a climbing, fishing and mountain biking adventure at True Adventure Sports or One world Adventure Company. Experienced kayakers have the opportunity to compete in challenging category III-VI Rapids on the Little River.
