Ñemby is a town in the Departamento Central with 126,817 inhabitants (as of 2012) and an area of 40 km2. It was founded on 2 August 1899 and is part of the Metropolitan Region of the state capital Asunción.

Ñemby is located inland, but has access to the ports of San Antonio. It borders San Lorenzo to the North, Capiatá to the East, San Antonio to the south and Villa Elisa to the West.

A historic landmark is the Church of San Lorenzo, founded in 1718 by Spanish settlers. At the time, the population of Ñemby was 2,187 inhabitants. Other attractions include the “Colegio Pablo Patricio Bogarín” and the “Escuela Carlos Antonio López” in the city center.
