Where is Ko Chang District Located?
Koh Chang, The ‘Elephant Island’, is the second largest island in Thailand after Phuket and ahead of Koh Samui and Koh Kood. It is located in the northeast of the Gulf of Thailand, near the border with Cambodia. Koh Chang belongs to the province of Trad (=Changwat Trad, although mostly misspelled Trat), whose eponymous capital on the mainland, ugf. 30 km away as the crow flies.
Koh Chang itself is located about 300 km southeast of Bangkok, to Cambodia it is hardly 40 km as the crow flies.
