Where is Kitakyushu Located?

Kitakyushu is located east of Fukuoka and is Kyushu’s northernmost city. The Name Kitakyushu literally means “North Kyushu”. Since the Meiji era, the city has played an important role as one of the most important industrial centers of Kyushu.

As the closest city to Japan’s main island of Honshu, Kitakyushu is the bridge between the two Islands and offers many attractions.
