We had visited KDU about 10 years ago, decided to return last weekend. Some tips to consider. . . . . . 1 ) do not wear “good” shoes. . . . . There are “poopy” accommodations in the animal enclosures. 2) wait in line for your Tickets. Unless you’re the first people there, you’ll probably be waiting in line in the front gift shop.

3) Be careful in the parking area. . . there is no marked parking, only gravel and grass. With these tips in mind, then you will interact with birds in a flight cage, goats and sheep, and best of all kangaroos. You should definitely listen carefully to the staff. They give you instructions to behave in the enclosures for your own safety. Small children may be afraid to have 10 birds perch all over their bodies. (many children were urgent during our visit) sheep / goats may Jump up on them when they feed. (more crying children ) this is a wonderful experience to be able to interact with kangaroos that you will not forget. I would not recommend for young kids, but our teens had a blast!
