The John F. Kennendy Presidential Library has been located at Columbia Point in Boston since 1979. The futuristic-looking building was designed by star architect I. M. Pei. The Library was supposed to be built on the Charles River, but the citizens of Cambridge wanted to prevent this, as they feared millions of tourists would overflow their city. So the new location was finally found, a place that overlooks the water that Kennedy loved so much.

Walking around the building, you are right on the water and also have a nice view towards Downtown Boston.
In front of the museum is the yacht of John F. Kennedy. The president was a passionate sailor and loved this place by the water, where the Museum now stands in his memory.
