Where is Jaffa Located?

Many people know the name through oranges, and indeed Jaffa is the namesake, because from the local port the sun-kissed citrus fruits were shipped all over the world. Today, Jaffa is popular with tourists, many artists have their studios in the narrow streets criss-crossed by old town, the port, the gastronomic variety, to the delight of visitors increases from year to year, and the immediate proximity to the sea creates a touch of internationality. This was followed by the flight and expulsion of a large part of the 65,000 Arabs. In 1945 the population was still very mixed: out of 101,580 people 53,930 were Muslims, 30,820 Jews and 16,830 Christians.
