In eastern Iowa, right on I-80, is the world’s largest Truckstop. As I leave the Interstate, I notice the heavy traffic. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many Trucks in one place. It is a constant up and down. There are so many Trucks on the road here that the cars are taken on a different route to the rest area to avoid accidents.

Before I get to the main reason for my visit here, just a few facts about this huge Truckstop. It stands on 89 hectares of Land, which is 4 times as much as an average Truckstop, there are 800 parking spaces for Trucks and about 5000 people go in and out every day. They are supervised by 450 employees who work here 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

The Iowa 80 Truckstop was founded by Bill Moon, whose family still runs it today. But not only the company was Bill Moon’s passion, also the Trucks had done it to him. And so he began to collect and restore old and special Trucks. The most beautiful models can be seen in a Museum that is located right next to the Truckstop.
