Where is Grodno Located?
The city of Grodno or Hrodna (Russian: ) is one of the most beautiful Belarusian cities. It is located in the west of the country, on the banks of the Memel. Since the 12th century, Grodno has been a border town that at different times served as a border outpost of various states. Today Grodno is located 15km from the Polish border and 30km from the Lithuanian border.

Grodno is the largest industrial center of western Belarus, the main branch is the manufacturing industry. The dominant industrial enterprise in the region is the open-ended joint-stock company Grodno Asot (Russian: ” – Nitrogen”). These account for 45% of urban industrial production.
