Where is Fort Pulaski National Monument?

Fort Pulaski is the largest fort in the distinct defense system around Savannah with 25 million bricks installed, which includes Old Fort Jackson.

Despite the size of the fort, the American Civil War in 1862 saw the surrender of the Fort crew after only 30 hours of shelling by Union troops. The damage of this siege can still be seen in the walls of the Fort (see picture above).
