Where is Elblag Located?
What Country is Elblag in?
On the edge of the Elbinger Höhen Nature Park, not far from the fresh Haff, lies the city of Elbląg (dts. Elbing). Its history is closely related to the history of the German order. In 1237, the Crusaders built the military settlement of Elbing, and in 1246 the town was granted the city rights. From 1466 to 1772, the town of Elbing, which was located in western Prussia, belonged to Poland. After the first division of Poland in 1772, the city of Prussia was incorporated. It was only after 1945 that it returned to Poland.
