Where is Delmas Located?

Delmas is a city in Haiti. Haiti occupies the western part of the Caribbean island of Hispanola. In the decades that followed the discovery of the island of Hispaniola by Christopher Columbus in 1492, the indigenous population of this island, the Arawaks , was almost completely exterminated. In the late 17th century, the island was finally repopulated by African slaves who were employed on the sugar plantations.
