Where is Daloa Located?

Daloa is a town in the west of Côte d’ivoire (Ivory Coast) with almost 350,000 inhabitants. It is the capital of the Haut-Sassandra Region, which counts a population of over 600,000 people.

What Country is Daloa in?

After Abidjan and Bouaké, the Trade Centre, in which cocoa is mainly traded, is the third largest city in the country. Also, coffee, Kola nuts, and Sipo wood from the Region are brought here for shipment to the coast. At the local level, the city, which was founded in 1903 as a French military post, is mainly a market for rice, cassava, Yams, bananas and cotton.

As in many cities in Africa, there are also numerous ethnic groups and languages in Daloa. The main ethnic groups of the city are the native Bété and Gouro. There is a remarkably large Lebanese community.
