Where is Cutler Coast Public Reserved Land?

Address: ME-191, Cutler, ME 04626

Those looking for a taste of the wilderness on the Maine Coast will explore the Cutler Coast Public Lands, a 12,234-acre tract of blueberry forests, woodlands and Gateway Flanders with a 4.5-mile Headland (interspersed with coves and cobbled beaches) overlooking the Bay of Fundy.

Hikers can enjoy 16 km of hiking trails, three secluded campsites and spectacular views from the property’s steep cliffs, which are part of the dramatic “Bold Coast” stretching from Cutler to Lubec. Cool, humid and windy conditions along the coast tend to inhibit tree growth and favor species that are normally found in Alpine and subalpine terrain, such as hooker’s Iris, bird’s eye and baked apple berry. Birdwatchers have recorded almost 200 species on or near the Cutler Coast.
