Colchester was formerly known by the Latin name Camulodunum and was a prosperous capital of Roman Britannia. Just an hour by train from London we have this jewel to discover where the Romans left their mark. In fact, the main lines of the current streets run on the ancient Roman roads.

It also has an interesting heritage from Norman England, the Tudor, Georgian and Victorian era. Its green spaces are true haven of peace and it is surrounded by the peaceful countryside of Essex. The Colne River meanders through the city and flows a few kilometers into the North Sea.
