The Park covers hundreds of kilometers of unpaved roads (often four-wheel drive) and hiking trails. Overnight stays in the Hinterland are subject to approval (visitor centre).

The Park is inaccessible and its visit very time-consuming. The easiest part is still the Islands-in-the-Sky part to visit, while the Maze part requires much preparation to time.
