This Park should not be missed on any Chicago visit. It houses beautiful outdoor facilities, a typical Army Museum and beautiful lawns to relax.
This Park is located in the small town of Wheaton in the south/West Suburbs. It costs only a small entrance fee and you can stay there for hours.
My children were particularly impressed by the WW I and WW II Museum. It is a bit oppressive for a German, since we are the bad guys there, but much is aptly deduced and very vividly presented there.
The gardens are simply wonderful and invite you to rest.
Just go there and look at it.
