The Bishop Museum in Honolulu is the largest museum in Hawaii dedicated to the study and preservation of the history of Hawaii and the Pacific.

The museum originally housed the extensive collection of Hawaiian artifacts and royal family heirlooms of Princess Bernice Paurahi Bishop, a descendant of King Kamehameha I, and is now the most important natural and cultural historical institution in the Pacific region. In the Planetarium, children can learn how sailors used the stars to travel across the Pacific. At the Science Adventure Center, children can experience the unique natural habitat of Hawaii in a new way through various interactive exhibitions.
