Where is Audubon Park?

This quiet Park was once a sugar cane plantation. It is located across from Tulane and Loyola universities and served as a camp for Union soldiers during the Civil War. In 1884, the world’s Cotton Centennial Exhibition was held here, beginning the settlement of Uptown New Orleans. Today the area is an extremely popular oasis in the middle of the big city with wide footpaths, an excellent golf course and some playgrounds for children. Exposition Boulevard is a pretty walkway on the eastern side of the park, passing elegant houses.
