The Aquarium of the Pacific, located at Rainbow Harbor in Long Beach, is the largest Aquarium in Southern California and an absolute must-see for young and old in Long Beach. The Aquarium gives space to three different types of water of the Pacific and houses more than 11,000 animals.

Start at the Southern California/Baja gallery, home to the 540,000-liter, three-story Honda Blue Cavern, home to marine life from the coastal area of Catalina Island. You will also need the habitat for seals and sea lions, as well as the pool with stingrays to touch Dedicated to habitats on and around Bering Strait, the Northern Pacific Gallery houses a collection of elegant jellyfish, four playful otters in the sea otter exhibit, and the world’s largest squid species, the Great Pacific octopus, which can grow to over six meters in length.
