Where is Annaba Located?

Annaba is the fourth largest city in Algeria located to the east of the Tunisian border. In the Wide Bay the large port was created. On the outskirts of the city are beautiful beaches and the hotel facilities attract many visitors.

The Phoenician Hippo (Bay, harbour) have been in Roman times Hippo Regius, Hippone, the King. Until his death in 430, the bishop Aurelius Augustinus lived and worked here.

At the time of the French the city was called Bône.
