Where is Al Mukalla Located?
Al-Mukalla is the capital of Hadramout province and the most important Yemeni port city east of Aden. The “gateway to Hadramout” was founded in 1035 as a fishing village and is today the 5th largest city of Yemen with 122,400 inhabitants. The port is considered an important hub for the transport of goods inland.

In the city there are impressive mosques particularly noteworthy are the mosques Ar-Rawdha and ‘Umar. Outside the city, the fortress Husn Al-Ghuwayzi appears on the top of a rocky outcrop.
