Where is Aktobe Located?

Aktobe, a thriving and interesting city in Kazakhstan, is located in the South of the Ural mountains, where Europe and Asia join hands. There are two Orthodox churches and several mosques. Popular sites include the Aktobe Museum, the Museum of Aliya Moldagulova and the Aktobe theatre.

There is also plenty of water: the Aktobe and Kargaly reservoirs, each lined with beaches and small Cafés. Evening entertainment includes cinemas, bowling alleys, nightclubs, Restaurants, Cafés and billiard clubs. The locals are extremely proud of their Aktobe football team, which has won the Kazakh championships several times.
