Where is Air Zoo?

Aircraft museums are not everywhere. If you take the aircraft yard of the German Museum in Munich as a scale is this here in quality and quantity at least 3 leagues over! Simply gigantic!

First: watch out! There are 2 museums! The 2nd part of the museum is next to the airfield! Are about 10min walk through the Park. In the 2nd part there is also a restoration workshop which you can visit. And whom time is also with colleagues can talk a few words!

On display here is almost everything that can fly. Highlite of course the SR71. Since wen is it not bad for a V1 from the 2 world war, is labeled as the Ami imagine that could be it English 😉

The exhibition is gigantic. Also the story that is told about the restored aircraft, their pilots and their missions.

I was in it during the week in October. Especially in the second part of the museum I was almost alone. There was very little going on. But what was due to the day and the season. You can spend a whole day here. Parking is free.

Don’t forget the 2nd part. A bit more “rustic” but just as great. So if you want to go to Michigan and go to the lake or to Chicago: definitely stop here!

Minus point: typical Ami eben: the “Restaurant”. The Chili has more of Doctor Oettger and with the Sandwiches can stain the alloy wheels rather than enjoy them.
