Flag of Thailand

Thailand is a state of Southeast Asia, located in the center of the Indochinese Peninsula. The country is bounded, in the South, by the Sea (Gulf of Siam) and ); in the East, by Cambodia and Laos, A portion of the course of the Mekong serving in part as border with it; in the Northwest and in the West, by Burma (Myanmar).

In addition, Thailand extends over the northern half of the Malay Peninsula or Malacca, whose South belongs to the Federation of Malaysia; this part is bathed in the East by the Gulf of Thailand (Gulf of Siam), and in the West by the Andaman Sea (annex of the Indian Ocean). The total area of Thailand is 514,000 km2, with a population of 65.9 million (2009).
