Somalia is a state in the Horn of Africa bordering the Gulf of Aden and the Indian Ocean. It borders Djibouti, Ethiopia and Kenya.

With an area of 637,657 km2 and a population of 10 million (2012), the capital of Somalia is Mogadishu (2.6 million). Other important cities are : Hargeisa (478.000 inhabitants), Berbera (242.500 inhabitants), Kismaayo (235.000), Jamaame (185.000), Baydhabo (130.000).
