Flag of Maldives

The Maldives is an archipelago located in the south-western part of Sri Lanka (Ceylon), in the Indian Ocean. These are coral islands (atolls) located on a vast submarine plateau, which stretches from North to South over a length of 2600 km and whose Laquedives to the North, and the Chagos Archipelago to the South are the other outcrops.
