Bogotá (Capital District). It is the capital city of the Republic of Colombia and the Department of Cundinamarca. As capital, it houses the highest-ranking bodies of the executive branch (Casa de Nariño), legislative branch (Congress of Colombia) and judicial branch (Supreme Court of Justice, Constitutional Court, State Council and Higher Council of the Judiciary).

At the economic level, it stands out as an important economic and industrial centre.
